About Coach

I was first introduced to CrossFit in 2010 after four years of collegiate boxing. As a track athlete growing up, I had a very limited knowledge of weight lifting and the many performance benefits that it had to offer. After experimenting with CrossFit workouts on my own for two years, I joined a formal CrossFit gym and found the guidance provided by the coaches and the community offered by the other athletes reminiscent of the camaraderie and direction I found in organized sports.

Turning Point

At the same time, my personal life was in shambles. I was directionless and had developed unhealthy habits - I desperately needed to flip the script. I moved up to Minnesota in 2014 and immediately found a gym to join. Since I was essentially living at the gym, I started coaching. This quickly became a full-time profession. CrossFit became an integral part of my life – helping me develop confidence, foster lasting relationships, and develop a sense of gratitude for all of the incredible moments that life has to offer. I have a passion for helping others achieve their athletic goals and, more importantly, developing the capacity to remain strong in the face of adversity. I have worked on developing this in the gym which, in turn, has served me in many areas of my life.

Motivation & Passion

I have an incredible young son, Clark, and a beautiful wife, Kelly. More often than not, I find that the most "functional" use of my fitness is trying to keep up with Clark’s seemingly endless energy levels! In what little free time I have, I enjoy: drinking coffee, listening to podcasts/reading, visiting tropical locations with my wife, and playing guitar. If I don’t do it first, please come introduce yourself!
